Under 21 years
I first competed at pony FEI level when I was 11 years old on Longstock Pocket Money who was an amazing school master that gave me my first real taste of competitive dressage. Following this I had a young pony called Zion who I produced from a very sharp 6 year old to being reserve for the pony European team in 2003.
In 2007 I was lucky enough to acquire Orvieto. He was an amazing horse who taught me so much and enabled me to compete at 2 European championships as well as giving me invaluable knowledge that has helped me to train my horses. I spent 3 years working and training with Nicky Barratt giving me invaluable insight into professional dressage.
Seniors and beyond
2012 has been a successful year for me, my two advanced horses have really come on, both having won at premier league level. I am very pleased to have had 2 horses that I have trained in the top 10 in the Prix Saint George national championships. The year concluded with my selection on to the World Class Development programme which is designed to help riders they feel are capable to Rio 2016 and beyond. This is a great opportunity that offers so many benefits to me especially now Rhodez is ready to make the transition to Grand Prix.
The quality of horse and training is vital for success in dressage. With this in mind I have invested in young horses ranging from foals to 4 years olds. I feel this is the only way that it is possible, for sensible money, to get international standard horses. I am very excited about all my horses and what the future holds for them.
